Skill Cluster had its inception in 2015 as another division of RAGC with an aim to fulfill the target of skilling youth of the nation. Keeping in line with the vision of our Prime Minister, there is a huge need to skill the youth of the nation and RAGC strives hard to achieve it. So far RAGC has trained 25,000+ candidates in Construction and 8000+ in Hospitality. The training were a part of the RPL training, wherein the people who have already been in a particular trade for a long period of time and do not have any certification pertaining to their occupation. RPL is a value addition to the candidates. Special Projects under PMKVY is to is to encourage trainings to vulnerable and marginalised groups of society in types, locations, formats, institutional settings, or premises of government bodies, corporates and industry bodies that may deviate from the existing course of training type, implementation and mechanism, as specified under the Short Term Training component under PMKVY. In the Special Project category, 264 candidates have been trained so far in various locations in and around Karnataka, Uttarakhand and Assam with more centres in the pipeline.
