RAGC signs MoU with University of Wolverhampton

Rustomjee Academy for Global Careers signs MoU with the University of Wolverhampton for Academic and Research collaboration

Mumbai, 20th April 2017: The University of Wolverhampton(UOW) and Rustomjee Academy for Global Careers(RAGC) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Academic and Research collaboration. The MoU opens prospects for joint research collaboration in the field of Automobile, Construction, Hospitality and Electrical. Exchange of educational and research staff as well as exchange of publications, academic materials and other information between the two institutes can be explored.

For the signing Ceremony, UOW was represented by Vice – Chancellor, Mr. Geoff Layer & Country Representative, Mr.Pragyat Singh, while RAGC was represented by Mr.Boman R. Irani, Chairman & Managing Director, Rustomjee Group, Mr. Percy Chowdhry, Director, Rustomjee Group, Mr. Kavi Luthra, Vice President, RAGC, Mr.Winny Rawal,Program Head,RAGC and Mr. Kevin John, GM Strategic Alliances, RAGC.

University of Wolverhampton has been providing quality education for the past 180 years and with this partnership, RAGC hopes to bring these internationally acclaimed and accepted programs at the Dahanu center. This collaboration between RAGC and University of Wolverhampton is one of the first in India for Engineering. This collaboration would give access to local community for global education, thereby giving them opportunities to compete worldwide. The Collaboration between the university of Wolverhampton and RAGC would benefit all those students who wish to enroll for international degree programs but are unable to do so due to socio-economic restrictions along with those students who require top-up program for their Higher National Diplomas in India. While UOW are commencing with these programs in Dahanu, they wish to extend this offering to different geographic locations across India, through various centers of RAGC in the near future. Such a partnership will allow Indian Colleges to deliver international curriculum locally enabling them to cater to global industry requirements and set standards for quality education programs in India, thereby increasing the acceptability of Indian students worldwide.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Boman R. Students passing out of RAGC under International degree program would be getting same degree as our UK campus students. Students and faculties will have access to all the academic resources that a student/faculty in UK campus does, to ensure that the quality of the program is maintained. In addition there would be a continuous faculty visits from university of Wolverhampton to ensure that the students get the best of the skill sets that are offered globally.”

RAGC recently signed a MoU with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to skill 10,000 workforce in the construction sector . Lately RAGC students from construction & hospitality sector have also left a mark of excellence at west zonal round of India Skills 2016 and India Skills 2016 wherein these students were felicitated by Mr. Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Hon’ble Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and were encouraged and congratulated by the minister to bring laurels to the Nation.
